Dear friends and partners in prayer. A few days ago, we gathered around the breakfast table with three of our volunteers and discussed various areas of the work where we really feel we need to call on God to bring breakthrough. We wrote them down and want to share them all with you so that you can join us in prayer.

  • We pray for breakthrough on all the vehicle and motorcycle breakdowns, theft of parts, and abuse. We pray that God would shine his favor on this situation.
  • We pray for breakthrough against the spirit of violence and destruction on our two construction sites at Boystown and Marine View and all the other Equip properties. We pray for security and confident progress in Jesus' name.
  • We pray for a very clear God-given sense of focus, purpose, and vision. We pray for God's deliverance from all distractions, temptations, disease, and discouragement. We pray that God would grant us this now, in Jesus' name. We also pray, specifically, that David would be healed from his giardia, gut problems, and exhaustion which he has been suffering from.
  • We pray that God would provide us with contractors on the construction sites that will be hard working people of integrity and bless us with a God-given absence of serious conflicts. We pray for a price that is affordable for everyone and for timely and good quality work. We pray this in Jesus' name.
We pray that the Lord will grant us wisdom and success in our planning and work to getting 4 years' funding for 18 to 34 clinics in Nimba. Let it be done in such a way that will be a great blessing to all the people in Nimba and to all the Equip family.
  • Lord, help us to find long-term quality funding for our access to justice work and protection work. Let our Equip team be a great tool for rescue and justice, breaking down impunity in Nimba. Lord, let our team care for hundreds and hundreds of victims of crime and injustice in a loving way that glorifies you. In Jesus' name we pray.
  • Lord we ask to be filled with your Spirit of joy, encouragement, enthusiasm, laughter, and life in abundance. In Jesus' name, here our prayer.
  • Lord, we pray for people that have your vision and your heart for the work. We pray for people from overseas to join us and people of integrity from Liberia to rise up and face the challenges we must face.
Lord we pray for your blessing and your wing of quick progress on Dave's book project. We pray that you will help finish the book this year and that the book will really touch thousands and thousands of people, in Jesus' name we pray.
  • Lord, we pray that the murderers of Hastings Tokpah are brought to justice, as they have been let out of jail after only serving one year of their sentence, due to pressure by high up officials in the Devil Bush. We pray for safety for Hasting's mother and all witnesses who have had to flee, as well as the Inland Church members in the region.

Here is a miraculous answer to one of our prayers that I hope will encourage you all. At the exact time that we were praying, unaware to us, an unexpected $72,000USD came into the Equip account as one of the outstanding payments for a project we thought might be delayed another month. Also, this last week, my giardia has cleared up. So let us keep calling on God for breakthrough!
