It was so great this past Sunday to come alongside so many that are in a season of celebrating significant milestones and transitions! These milestones marked journeys that are progressing and growing. We also spent time on Sunday talking about what this forward motion looks like in our journey of becoming more like Jesus as a community here at Creekside.
The “spiritual milk” that we looked at in Scripture is the perfect spot to start when we first start encountering Jesus. But in our community, we want to have a holy discontent…where we are not willing to settle for just the milk but to spur one another on into the deeper and richer spiritual food that Scripture also points us to. This is what it looks like to become more and more like Jesus.
At Creekside, we come just as we are…but we don’t stay that way. We grow in new and unexpected ways and we find ourselves constantly being transformed by the Spirit of God. That kind of forward motion is what we want to be all about in the 167.
