The 167: June 6, 2019

It was so encouraging this past Sunday to hear all the different stories of how people have encountered and experienced the “hesed” love of God over the many years through the community of Creekside!  This is a significant aspect of what it looks like to be a part of our Creekside community. It includes this “otherly love” and “journey-mate love” that was demonstrated in the texts we looked at on Sunday (Ruth 2 & Mark 2)…and which was ultimately demonstrated for us through Jesus.

And hopefully one of the most significant results of this communal experience at Creekside is that it compels us to go out during the “167” and love all the people that God crosses our path with this Christ-anchored, hesed kind of love. I’m praying for us this week that not only would we be personally receiving and experiencing this kind of love, but that we would all be growing in ways where we can offer and give more and more of this love to others…so that they might ultimately encounter Jesus too!
