The 167: October 24, 2019
It’s a daily thing: saturating ourselves in the Gospel. As our series on this topic came to a close this last Sunday, we spent time thinking a little more creatively about what it looks like to share our story with others. And specifically, our challenge coming out of Sunday was to be very intentional in making sure it is clear that Jesus is the real hero of our story/life. Have you thought about it recently? Is Jesus really the hero in your story…or does he often come across as more of a supporting actor? My encouragement is twofold: 1) Take some intentional time to prayerfully reflect on your journey and God and be reminded of how truly heroic He has been in your life; and 2) Look for the opportunity to share about this superhero with others…people all around us are desperate for our Hero!
This Gospel saturation thing does not end with the close of our series. It’s a daily thing. As we head into the letter from Paul to the Philippians over the coming weeks, may the saturation level for you and our church continue to grow into a non-stop flood warning level!
