The 167: October 3, 2019

This last Sunday we dug deep.  We’re in this sermon series called “Gospel Saturation.” Having been refreshed two weeks ago about what we mean by the “Good News,” we spent last Sunday considering how we could further let the Gospel saturate us to our roots by naming the real beliefs that are behind some of the unwanted fruit we experience and graciously countering those with grace-filled truth of the Gospel.  If you weren’t able to be with us, I encourage you to check out the podcast.

You can also find a pdf here of the slide we used in the service to try out this “Fruit to Root” practice.  We only had about 5 minutes to experiment with it this past Sunday, so I would encourage you to find a larger block of time during these 167 hours to prayerfully identify some undesired “fruit” in your life that could benefit walking through this exercise.  May tools like this continue to lead us into a deepening and ongoing encounter with Jesus!
