Worship Moves You
Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would not light useless fires on my altar! (Malachi 1:10)
Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty. (Malachi 3:10–12)
As the church we are called to worship. How we worship says a lot about who we are. How we worship impacts how we live our lives. Something mysterious happens when we worship God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength. As we worship we simultaneously demonstrated God as great, and at the same time experience a resetting and reorienting of ourselves into the course of our call to live in Jesus extraordinary way — lives marked by love, Justice, Dependance and Hope.
Through Jesus we have received a gift that costs us nothing — because it cost him everything. “Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, he washed it white as snow.” And so our call is to dive in, to live out, to move in mission with God in all areas of our lives, fueled by worship that is response, revolt, fuel, fire, holy, ordinary, best or bad.
Peace, hope and love
